The South Dakota Parent Resource Network seeks to extend effective strategies that will lead to the achievement of three primary goals:
To increase parents' knowledge and understanding of the state’s accountability system under NCLB and the opportunities for parent involvement, supplemental services and school choice;
To assist schools identified for improvement and their parents in developing and implementing policies, programs, and activities that actively engage parents in improving the academic achievement of their children; and
To increase parents’ understanding and capacity for their critical role as effective partners in the developmental and academic progress of their children.
